However, you don’t need to force yourself to use any type of method to establish your expertise that feels inauthentic or that you hate doing. 

It’s important that you choose the way to reach and engage with your audience that brings you joy and makes you shine. That’s going to be the way that is most easy for you to do. When you do that, regardless of what the gurus say, you’ll be successful. You’ll be successful because you’re going to actually do it. Remember implementation, more than how, is the key to success.

Yes, some of your audience might not find you because they’re looking for videos or a podcast. However, if you choose only to use writing – you can still be just as successful. 

For some people, the main way they prefer to reach people is via their writing. For others, it’s speaking gigs, and you only need to do it one way, not all ways, to be successful. It’s important to play to your strengths. If you’re good at writing, do that. If you’re good at speaking, do that. However, it is also important to think about your audience. If the audience you want to work with likes public speaking, but it sends you into a panic attack, you may want to figure out a new audience. 

You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. When it comes to generating plenty of content that establishes your expertise, go with what you know.

However, it’s generally understood that establishing expertise occurs based on the reach of the content that you distribute to your audience. Once you’ve been established, you may want to be more eager to leave your comfort zone and try something new.
