We wanted to add a second child to our family. 

However, I missed out on lots of exciting things with my son because of the demands of my job and I simply couldn’t do it anymore. I didn’t want my job to continue to supercede my children. Plus, maternity leave wasn’t an option. I had to find another way. 

I couldn’t stand getting home just in time to put him to bed.

I was late to his t-ball games.

Missing so many moments of my son’s childhood broke my heart.

If that wasn’t enough, after 10 years in the medical field my health was declining and I could no longer continue on that path. Here’s that story…

I didn’t feel like I was being the best Mom, Wife, or even version of myself.

I was beyond motivated to make a change, so I began to search the internet.

At first, my job search resulted in the usual…taking surveys, call centers, etc. None of this inspired me or made me feel excited. 

What I really wanted was a business to call my own! I wanted to be my own boss. I wanted to have something nobody could take away from me.

I found Abbey Ashley!

She had a webinar about becoming a booked out VA. I watched it and followed every word.

Within a few days I had my first client!

I had a lot of questions but I was floored this stuff really works and I was really making money from my house in my own business!

I’d found the work I wanted to do AND I could work from home! Right then I decided that if I could replace half my income I would switch from corporate America to being a work-at-home mom.

I inhaled all of the The Virtual Savvy blog, but then I became overwhelmed. There’s a LOT that goes into becoming a successful VA. And I realized it was going to some real dedication and HELP.

I noticed that Abbey just opened up a course. As I am reading the description and it sounds awesome! She promised the support and planning I would need to get over all my obstacles and actually make it happen.

Can I afford a course? NOW? I want to have another child?

I decided that if I was going to make this crazy idea of becoming a virtual assistant my life I NEEDED this course. I said YES!

Saying YES was one of the best things I have EVER done for myself!

Even though I was new, I wasn’t stumbling through every step.

The support and community were (and are) amazing.

The community was (and is) there whenever I need them (it’s actually where I go when I need to hire my VAs these days).

I ended up leaving my corporate america job 5 months before my daughter was born.

Update…

It’s been 3 years, I’m living my dream – and it’s more than I could have ever imagined!

I love what I do. I have a team I adore. Most of all, I’m getting to do all the little things with my kids I was missing out on 3 years ago! 

Abbey Ashley – The Virtual Savvy – has truly changed my life! Without her, this course and the amazing community she has brought together I might still be stuck in my corporate job, sick, and missing t-ball games, ninja practice and gymnastics classes.
