My Favorite Places to Find FREE Online Vector Images!

 

Without a reliable resource, finding free online vector images for your work is difficult and time consuming. Internet search engines provide mixed results, and you end up spending valuable time sorting through images that require royalties. Short tasks become stressful when you spend hours hunting down usable images.

 

Here is a list of twenty-five websites that will meet your needs for those projects or tasks you want to improve with images. When you don’t have time to create your own graphics, are looking for quick images to match your branding, or simply want to add appealing visuals to your work, this list is here to help and take your productivity to the next level!

 

  1. Vexels

 

Vexels provides featured graphics and images on their homepage, along with an option to select trending images. You can search and select ready made designs, or choose from pre-existing editable designs to add your own personal touch. You can change the color background, add text, objects and images all directly on the website. When you are finished, complete one easy download and you are ready to go!

2. Pixabay

 

Pixabay offers over 1.3 million free photos and videos that are community sourced. Search by keywords, popular images, photos, illustrations, vector graphics, videos and more. There is an editor’s choice section that highlights images and videos handpicked by the Pixabay team. You can also filter images by photographer and camera type.

3. BrandEPS

 

BrandEPS provides a library of free brand vector logos and icons. Download all logos and icons in vector EPS, JPG and PNG file formats. Some features include popular logos and icons, and latest brands and icons. This site is especially helpful for gaining inspiration for your own original designs and logos.

4. Vector4Free

 

This site is dedicated to free vector graphics. You’ll find Adobe Illustrator AI, EPS, PDF, SVG, and Corel Draw CDR files to download. All vectors are classified by tags. Additionally, you can submit your own vectors for community use.  All images on Vector4Free are available for personal use, and many are free for commercial use – just remember to check the terms of use first.

5. HungryJpeg

Here you will find a good selection of free graphic design resources and downloads. Select “freebies” from the home page menu and sort by category, such as graphics, photos, themes, and even fonts. They also feature exclusive freebies of the week. Every Wednesday, you can access a brand new design product, which expires the next Wednesday, so be sure to check back weekly.

6. CreativeMarket

For the most part, this site sells graphics, but there is a “Get Free Goods” tab on the home page that features a decent and creative selection of weekly freebies. Examples include food and travel social media packages and a hand sketched vector. These were designed to use for upgrading Instagram stories, and for creating endless layouts, collages, posters and logos.

7. DesignBundles

DesignBundles supplies free SVG’s, graphic packs, illustrations, icons, templates, backgrounds, textures and more. Everything is available for instant download, and they also feature a free design of the week.

8. Vector.Me

This is an all free vector search engine. Here, you will find hundreds of thousands of vectors, logos and icons. Features include new and popular vectors, along with the option to search for vectors by tag, file type and category.

9. Freepik

Freepik offers over one million free vectors, PSD, photos and free icons. Search by categories such as backgrounds, infographics, business cards, logos, brochures and flyers. You can acquire a free license for usage with attribution.

10.  Flaticon

Flaticon offers a high volume of free vector icons in SVG, PSD, PNG, and EPS formats for personal and commercial use. They have almost 15,000 icon packs which you can filter by color. This is a great site if you need to download social media icons like Facebook and Instagram. The vectors are organized by categories like birthday, brands, commerce, entertainment, ecology and food to streamline your search.

11. FudgeGraphics

The creator of Fudgeraphics describes the site as a design inspirational blog. It is a rather unique freebie resource that offers high quality photoshop brushes, textures and vectors. Categories include free fonts, product design, high resolution textures and wallpapers. There are even free tutorials should you find yourself inspired to create, or desire to learn.

12. FreeVectors.net

 

This is a small community of people who share free vector graphics. This website will require a bit more manual sorting and searching – the only options are to browse and use the search bar. Be sure to come up with strong search phrases to find what you are looking for in a timely manner. Most images are available for commercial use and some are not, so be sure to check the terms of use before downloading.

13. Dryicons

DryIcons has over 6,700 original vectors and icons. The website has interesting vintage and wood style icons for social media, along with various stylish icons like multimedia, medical and communication. Additionally, you can use the menu option to search by custom icons, vector graphics and to explore the blog.

14. Snap2Objects

This site features a “freebie” category that is organized by collection, such as a 240 Basic Icons Vector, 210 User Interface Icons, 10 Cool and Free Mobile Wallpapers, and 103 Vintage Photo Objects, among many others.

15. VectorPortal

 

Vectorportal offers over 20,000 free stock vectors, backgrounds, flags, silhouettes and templates. You can search by keyword, tag or category. This site provides 100 free vectors if you subscribe. They also have a FAQ section with information regarding commercial use of vectors, attributions, and the proper way to give credit when using their site.

16. DeviantArt

 

The DeviantArt community features artwork, videography and photography. Categories include digital art, traditional art, film, animation, designs and interfaces. There is also a sorting feature where you can organize your search by newest, whats hot, undiscovered, and even by the amount of time the artwork remained popular. Furthermore, when you click on the artwork, the website shows thumbnails of more of the artist’s work.

17. BrandsoftheWorld

This is the largest library of brand logos in vector format, where they are all available for free download. Designers also showcase their work here and submit for critiquing. You can search by category, country, alphabetically or historically. Logos are also organized into daily files, so you can browse according to a specific date the logo was uploaded to the website.

18. SpoonGraphics

 

Spoongraphics has a good selection of freebies such as geometric vectors, PNG textures, logo templates, watercolor text effects and various Photoshop effects. There are various formats depending on the individual freebie, including PNG, AI and PAT. This website offers a free resource bundle with a subscription, which includes vectors, logos, brushes, patterns, textures, and more. 19.Vecteezy

Check out this site for free vectors, clip art designs, icons, and illustrations created by international artists. They are all available for personal, educational, and commercial use. The site has a wide range of helpful browsing filters. For instance, backgrounds, icons, elements, holidays, food, drink, animals, sports, shapes, clip art and nature, just to name a few.

20. FreeVectorArchive

 

This site offers hundreds of clipart illustrations and vector graphics, and they are all free. You can search by category, age or format. Formats include EPS, AI, SVG, JPG, PNG and TIFF.

There are large assortments of categories, backgrounds, and icons, and a limited selection of banners.

21. All-Silhouettes.com

For a unique spin on vectors, try this website that supplies silhouettes exclusively. Browse designs, patterns, people, instruments, castles, animals…wherever your imagination takes you. There is also a silhouette clip art feature in the margin which is organized by category. The site features over 15,000 free silhouettes.

22. VectorStock

VectorStock has around 200,000 free vectors. Search by what is trending, the latest and layout style. Free download format options include AI, EPS, PDF and JPG. Take note that free licenses are for personal use only on this site.

23. FreeVector

 

All vectors on this site are free for personal use. You must be a premium member to use the files commercially. The home page displays vector art and new weekly vectors. The general vibes and themes are bright, lively and colorful. A useful feature; when you click on a vector, the site provides similar images that are free (just scroll past the vectors that require a premium account). For example, clicking on an astrology vector brought up sixty more astrology related vectors to choose from, and all were free.

 

  1. 1001 Free Downloads

Thousands of vectors are available here for personal and commercial use with attribution, which is a watermark on the vector. There are many categories to search by, with additional “popular categories” and “popular tags.” You can also subscribe to be notified of exclusive freebies.

There are forty categories for free vectors on FreeDesignFile. If that was not generous enough, there are free photos, photoshop resources, icons, PSD and fonts. Some are noted specifically for personal use only, but others are not, so be sure to read the terms of use. Licenses here are from the creative commons.
